This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application ("Food Scan Go") handles user information. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about what data is collected and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

Food Scan Go does not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information (PII). This includes, but is not limited to:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Physical address
• User-created accounts

Food Scan Go does not require account creation and does not transmit any personal data to our servers, because we do not operate any servers for user data.

1.2 Advertising Identifiers

Food Scan Go does not currently collect or use advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID or Apple IDFA). If advertising features are introduced in the future, advertising identifiers may be used for delivering personalized or non-personalized ads. Any such changes will be reflected in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.

2. Non-Personal Information

Food Scan Go uses Firebase Analytics to collect basic, non-personal usage data such as:

• App opens and closes
• Screens viewed
• Generic device information (e.g., device model, OS version)
• App performance metrics

This information is anonymized and aggregated. It cannot be used to identify you.

3. Crash Reporting

Food Scan Go uses Firebase Crashlytics to help identify and fix technical issues. Crash reports may include:

• Device model
• OS version
• App version
• Stack traces at the time of the crash

Crash reports do not contain personal data and cannot identify individual users.

4. Permissions

Food Scan Go requires the following device permissions:

• Camera Access: Used to allow users to capture photos within the Food Scan Go app.
• Photo Library / Media Storage Access: Used to allow users to select existing photos from the device gallery and to save new photos created within the Food Scan Go app.

All photos captured or selected through the Food Scan Go app are stored locally on your device. Food Scan Go does not upload, transmit, or share any images with external servers or third parties.

5. No User Accounts or Online Services

Food Scan Go does not require:

• Account creation
• User registration
• Login credentials
• Any cloud-based services for storing user data

Food Scan Go Mobile App’s functionality is offline-first and does not transmit personal data to any server. The only online components are Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics as described above.

6. How We Use the Information

Collected data is used solely for:

• Improving app performance
• Fixing bugs
• Understanding general usage trends

We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties for marketing or advertising.

7. Third-Party Services

Food Scan Go uses the following trusted third-party services:

• Google Firebase Analytics
• Google Firebase Crashlytics

These services operate under Google’s privacy policies, which may include independent data handling practices.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Food Scan Go does not collect or store any personally identifiable information. All non-personal usage data and crash logs are handled by Google Firebase services, which manage their own data retention schedules. As the data collected is anonymized and not linked to any identifiable user, there is no personal data that can be individually accessed, exported, or deleted.

9. Children’s Privacy

Food Scan Go does not collect personal data and is safe for general audiences. No personal information is knowingly collected from children under the age of 13.

10. Data Security

Food Scan Go does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. Non-personal analytics and crash data processed by Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics are protected by Google’s established security measures. Firebase services use industry-standard practices for data protection, secure transmission, and controlled access.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on Food Scan Go website or on its official store listing.
